The Auburn Studio is a creative architecture and design firm led by Sushmitha Ramesh, our Principal Architect. We believe a space should feel like it belongs—not just to its surroundings but to the people who experience it. Every project we take on is about creating comfort that tells a story, sparking emotions, and breathing life into the spaces we design. Over the past five years, we’ve been privileged to work on a variety of projects, from cosy homes and stunning renovations to sustainable architecture and bold designs spanning minimal to maximal styles. We’ve even had the honour of designing spaces for celebrities and hoteliers. At Auburn, we thrive on bringing individuality to life. With a hands-on approach and an eye for creativity, we transform every brief into a unique space that celebrates the people it’s for—a place to live, dream, and create memories. For us, it’s not just about designing buildings; it’s about designing experiences that truly matter.
SUSHMITHA RAMESH
FOUNDER | PRINCIPAL ARCHITECT
Post her formal education in Architecture from SRM University, Chennai, Sushmitha worked on an array of Hospitality projects with Sidharth Ninan Architecture, Chennai and A Design Studio, Colombo, Sri Lanka, before Auburn Studio came to life. Translating her vision to Auburn, Sushmitha believes in designing experiences. Each place is designed and curated to tell its own story, an approach that is deep-rooted in Auburn’s culture. Sushmitha, known among her friends as a stickler for details, brings the same perfection to work. It also inspired her to offer a whole range of holistic solutions that went beyond architecture and planning to include branding and styling – ensuring uniformity of experience.
